In the online gay world, it secured a front-page report which caused a surge in visits to the spot posted on YouTube. From chueca.com (a gay portal), there have been tens of thousands of visitors among the Spanish gay community, enjoying the most rights in the world.

As at March 2008, the video has been viewed over 73,000 times. "Amnesty International" and the Publicis group also sent an e-mail with the TV spot attached to a database of over 56,000 e-mail addresses, thus setting in motion the whole viral mechanism around the initiative.

Slim Khezri has worked on an upcoming "Mystery ER" TV mini-series episode, titled ’Scared Stiff’ (for Discovery Health Channel) - directed by Jeff Daniels and produced by Valerie Chow (Mike Mathis Productions, Inc).

Slim K played Éric (a Hospital Visitor), a small fun part, seen in a few scenes.
The episode was shot in Santa Clarita, CA.

"Dear girls, boys and anything in between,

It is with great pleasure, a tear and a smile that we announce the release of a new single in like .... forever. The new track, "BURN THE DISCO move & dance", was made from blood, sweat, tears, hair pulling and lip biting endurance. Through a few peoples bullsh*t all over the planet and 15 years of incredible patience.

The release was first set for March/ April 2008 (yeah as well as back in 1908). However, due to Slim K’s crazy schedule in film and television projects including OTELLO at Los Angeles Opera (and the two World Wars). So inevitably the release date was pushed to May 2008 ... Hey we’ve waited 100 years for this .. guess we can bear another 3 or 4 more weeks don’t you think?

The new single, "BURN THE DISCO move & dance" will be available to you as a digital download on i-Tunes and other digital online outlets (Rhapsody, Napster, Amazon, emusic and many more...). The correlation across weekly and monthly measures of sales outcomes will determine the next step of pressing a special limited edition of physical CD packaging.

The new single, "BURN THE DISCO move & dance" will be available to you in three versions: a basic, a basic + three remixes and a 13 track EP "BURN THE DISCO move & dance" -palooza !!!

Oh yes weary consumer! As if that weren’t enough, there will be merchandising: Slim K "BURN THE DISCO move & dance" t-shirts, caps, mugs, stickers and YES ... thongs & panties .. since we want to be close as possible to YOU, (hmm we forgot the bras!)

To accompany this monumental occasion we have shot an incredible amount of video footage between Feb.- April (and are still shooting this week) for an EPK (interview), behind the scenes, music video (that incl. about 3 versions) and four brand new photo shoots.

We hope you understand that all creative work and business is overlooked by Slim K himself. Since unfortunately he has only two arms, two legs, side projects left and right and 24 hours in a day. we are trying our best to stay on top of the busy schedule.

Slim K has successfully finished work (after nearly 2 months) on OTELLO
at the Los Angeles Opera,

in between he’d worked with spanish director Juan Varela on the new Amnesty International Promo/ Ad (details and photos on the way), the PSA will premiere in the upcoming Cannes Film Festival in May.

Today (March 18th, 2008), Slim K has worked on an upcoming
"Mystery ER" episode (Discovery Health Channel) - directed by Jeff Daniels
and produced by Valerie Chow. (details and photos on the way),

Slim K is now going to focus his concentration on his upcoming new Single release
titled "BURN THE DISCO" (by doubaJen Records) in April 2008
- so far the ad campaign, cover design, brandnew photos
and Music Video are in final stages.

Currently as well Slim is in talks with var. promoters and
managers for Single promo shows.

First up, set to release in February 2008 and previously mentioned on the MBP site www.markbattypublisher.com, is Arabic Tattoos. In a display that helps to bridge the gap between Middle Eastern and Western cultures, many citizens of the West have taken to tattooing Arabic words upon their bodies. Be the end result religious phrases, names, or gibberish, these tattoos are loaded with meaning, especially given the sociopolitical world in which we inhabit today.
