Giuseppe Verdi's OTELLO Opera - feat SLIM K
Slim K confirmed to play two small parts in Giuseppe Verdi's "OTELLO" at LA Opera Spring 2008, Verdi's greatest tragic opera - Slim Khezri will appear as a Venetian Sailor and a Venetian Senator
Plot: Otello has married Desdemona against her father's wishes. A mercenary in the service of the Venetian Army, Otello has been sent to Cyprus to repel an invasion by the Turks. Iago, his ensign, feels slighted because of Cassio's promotion over him in rank. Iago plots and manipulates events and feelings to his benefit in order to destroy Otello's marriage and eventually his life.
Directed by John Cox recognised as one of the major opera directors.
He was Director of Productions for Glyndebourne, Artistic Director of Scottish Opera and Production Director for the Royal Opera, Covent Garden. His opera productions have been seen throughout Europe, North America and Australia. In addition he has worked extensively in theatre, television, film and major festivals.
